| | Happy Thanksgiving to my fellow Canadians!
We had an early Thanksgiving dinner tonight, slightly different than from what we had planned last week. We had planned on taking all of the kids out to Dana's parents' house for dinner tonight out in PoCo but things have changed. Eli has been out there since Friday and we've had Dane here. I've almost forgotten what it was like to have a 5 month old baby that doesn't sleep the night yet... not that it would matter right now, the big kids aren't sleeping too well anyway. So far Katie, Marko, Tayo & Dougie have chicken pox and we're hoping the rest of the kids can have them now while they're still young and get them over with fast. After we're sure they're gone we can clean the house from top to bottom and every corner so that Eli can come back home. It's only been 3 days and I miss my baby like crazy. I've gotten to talk to him on the phone some but I still miss him a hell of a lot. He's having a great time with his grandparents though.
This year, more than ever before, I feel like I've found the true meaning of Thanksgiving. I'm so thankful to have all 8 of my children with me. Most of all I'm thankful for 7 healthy children and one returning to health. Not every child survives a single cancer but my Eli is a two-time survivor and fighting hard and winning his third battle. I'm so proud of him! I'm so thankful for a loving, supportive wife (who by the way made a Plugz on here for me... see a lot of new traffic!). I don't know how I would get through this crazy life without her keeping me half way sane. At this time last year our then, almost 1-year-olds were still about the size of 3-6 month old babies, I can't believe how much they've grown and changed! They don't fit in the palm of my hand anymore. We knew it was likely that since they were born at 26 weeks that they could have mental or physical delays but we're so thankful that they're perfectly healthy 22 month old babies toddlers! They're a little small for their age but you could never tell they were so early. How did I get so lucky to have such a wonderful family?
And of course, how could I not post pictures?
Eli got to go feed duckies with Grandma & Grandpa
Day 3 of Katie's chicken pox
 Katie finally got some sleep
Marko doesn't like the itchiness or the fever, poor guy cried himself to sleep
Dougie only has a few spots, hope he gets off easy with his pox! Looks like this is a poor attempt at the new camera phone form work... probably just stick to the regular camera now
Tayo spent the whole day laying the couch watching movies... poor kid felt awful
